Thanks for visiting my site! Here's my story...Prior to 2012 I was an avid gym goer. I was also over 200lbs. At 5'6" that put me at least 50lbs over a healthy weight. I know, those height and weight charts are a bit out-dated. Everyone's body is different, and some people have more muscle making them heavier...at least that's what I always told myself. I was always muscular and consequently weighed more than other women my age, but there comes a point where you have to be honest with yourself. Unless you are 5'11" and chock full o' muscles, 200 lbs is just not healthy. Once I finally came to the realization that I was, in fact, well overweight, I decided to do something about it. I stopped going to the gym and aimlessly jumping on the elliptical and doing random weight lifting routines, and I started doing INSANITY (which had been just sitting on a shelf in our home for years!). One of my best childhood friends was a Beachbody coach and she added me to her support group, which I can honestly say that I wouldn't have gotten through it without. I logged on to talk about my struggles, and found that lots of other group members were going through the same thing. I stuck with it and once those results started rolling in, I was sold. I only lost about 7 lbs with INSANITY, but I dropped 2 full sizes! People started telling me how great I looked, and my confidence was right back where it should have always been. I took a break between programs and "did my own thing", running, doing an INSANITY class here and there, only to find that while I had continued to lose weight (building all of that muscle through INSANITY really revved up my metabolism!), I wasn't seeing those drastic changes that I had seen while I was doing a program. I had my eye on a girl in my group who had been doing Turbo Fire and seemed to really enjoy it. One day, she posted her amazing results pictures and I had found my next program! From the moment I started, I was completely in love. Again, I stuck with it, and had great results. I lost 11lbs and dropped another 2 dress sizes, but this time, my life was changed. Because I was already so inspired by Turbo Fire, I started to follow Chalene Johnson (the program's creator) and her sister, Jennelle Summers, on social media. They inspired me to not only continue exercising, but to make the changes that I had been needing to make for years...My diet. For so many years I thought that as long as I exercised and ate well most of the time, I was healthy. Once I realized that I really needed to be taking stock of what I put into my body and started to make changes, I started to see more dramatic results both inside and out. While I was proud of my weight loss with Turbo Fire, I realized that had I really delved into learning about nutrition and changed my bad habits earlier, I could have lost more. That's what began to motivate me. I didn't want to finish the program and have regrets. So, about 50 days into Turbo Fire I started drinking Shakeology. I was shocked at how much it helped me with my cravings. Now, if I miss a day, I start to feel the pull towards those unhealthy foods. Once I have my shake, I'm right back on track and not so susceptible to making poor choices. It also helps me to get in all of my essential vitamins and minerals in one, low calorie, low fat meal per day. Who knew you could be so healthy drinking a CHOCOLATE shake!?!?! Trust me, I still have a REWARD meal weekly (I don't call it a "cheat" meal...you have to earn it!). I loooove food, and am not too hard on myself when I slip up. After an indulgence or a vacation, I get back on track by sticking to whole foods and Shakeology. As you can see, I am a complete work in progress. I struggle to make good choices every day, and there are certainly days where I do not want to push play, but every day that I do, I go to bed that night not feeling the shame and regret of binging on a plate of cheese fries, but relishing in my accomplishments for that day. I am almost in my mid-thirties and am in the best shape of my life. It is such a good feeling and I want everyone to feel the way I do. I have now also completed Les Mills Pump, T25, and the 21 Day Fix with again, awesome results each time! I truly believe in these programs and know that they can bring results to anyone who follows them. That's why I became a coach. I'm so excited to help you on your fitness journey. Sign up with me as your coach and we will walk this journey together!
